The Annual Scholorship Fund

The Annual Scholarship Fund

The Annual Scholarship Fund is named in honor of Clarence Jupiter ’48 who served as Vice-President of Institutional Advancement at Xavier University until his passing in 1999. Mr. Jupiter (affectionately called Jupe) spearheaded the first successful university capital campaign and rallied hundreds of alumni to organize Xavier Alumni Chapters across the country. This annual scholarship fund serves as a tribute to his fortitude and determination as a fundraiser committed to promoting the mission of St. Katharine Drexel. Gifts of any amount can be directed to The Clarence Jupiter Scholarship Fund to provide annual scholarships and financial assistance to qualified Xavier students.

Spirituality and the belief that striving to emulate the life of Jesus Christ will inspire students to grow into caring, well-rounded individuals has led the University to launch a $10 million Chapel Campaign. The St. Katharine Drexel Chapel will be a place where the Xavier community can come together to celebrate the Eucharist, enrich its knowledge of the liturgy, foster religious vocations, attend life-altering retreats, participate in ministries of service, and give time and talent to assist the poor.
